General Information
Camberwell Malvern Little Athletics Centre is open to all children aged 5-14 years. All children compete for fun, fitness and family enjoyment and are encouraged to participate in events in a positive manner, regardless of athletic capability. Little Athletics takes place on Saturday mornings from October to March, excluding the Christmas holiday period.Set up / Pack Down / Results Recording Duty Roster
As shown under Events, the U11 parents are on duty this week to Setup, assist with Track Results recording and Race Starts, and finally Pack Down. Please be down the grounds at about 8:15am to ensure all is setup in time. Many hands really do make light work.

If you are interested in competing in the State Track and Field, you NEED to also compete in the EMR Track and Field. There is a FIRM cut off of 17th Jan with event information and payment back to Craig - the Track and Field Comp Mgr - ie. you MUST send the information to him before then! EMR Relay Results.
The EMR Relays have been run and won. We have an estimated 22-27 teams qualifying for States! Well done everyone. There were some fabulous runs from many. Overall we finished in 4th place against the other Centres (medal count wise) with 6 Golds, 8 Silver and 8 Bronze. More stats?
47 Teams contested: 40 contesting a final! 7 finished 4th, 5 x 5th , 3 x 6th (with one DQ), 2 x 7th and one 8th. Of the 26 teams running a heat and a final, only 7 ran slower in the final. There were some impressive improvements too... in the 4x100, the U9M, U10M and U12G found 2.1/1.23/1.01 seconds respectively; in the 4x200, the U10G, U12B, U12G found 11.84/5.94/5.12 seconds; and in the Medley all three teams contesting Heat and Final found more than 5 seconds!

EMR Relays THIS Sunday.
There will be NO Sunday Coaching is this week as the EMR (Eastern Metropolitan Region) Relays are on instead! Team Lists are now available here. Venue is as per few weeks ago - Doncaster - Rieschiecks Reserve, George St, Doncaster (Melway 33J11).

Box Hill Relays Results (13 Nov).
Congratulations to all our Little Athletes who competed at Box Hill Relays on Sunday 13th. Overall our teams acheived four gold and ten bronze medals. There were also many unrewarded yet brave runs. Well done to ALL competitors.

Call for Assistance
This year we will again be running two sprint finish gantry's enabling us to swiftly run our program. We urgently require volunteers to become part of a rotating team in the two key roles - two as race starters and two to manage the finish line recording. The 2011/2012 SEASON
The LA season began at Kooyong Park on Saturday October 8 with a come-and-try morning. Whilst a bit overcast the day was enjoyable with quite a lot of new and old faces in evidence.
Fees for the 2011/2012 LA season have been set at $130 (first child), $100 (additional kids) which includes your competition T-shirt.

Little Aths is not like other sports such as netball, cricket, basketball where paid administratoras & referees oversee activities. It is completely run by parents. To this end two types of assistance is required:
