Each child will receive a certificate recording his or her performances for the season. Ribbons will be awarded for first, second, and third placegetters for each Track and Field event held at the centre.
Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded in each age group for the best overall performances of the season. Points are awarded for performances across the season that are better than VLAA defined standards for that event for each age group and gender. Points are tallied for all events that the centre runs during the track and field season including performances at EMR and State championships. To be eligible for an award an athlete must consistently compete across the duration of the entire season.
CMLAC also present encouragement awards to athletes in all age groups for personal best performance (PB), equalling PBs and participation in events across the entire season.
Each year the Centre presents an award to the girl and boy athlete of the year, usually senior athletes (U/10 or older athlete).
The committee choses athletes whose behaviour is consistent with the aims of the Centre and the Little Athletics movement.
