A. Cross Country!

…and here’s why:

Duty

Not much! Parents are required for officials’ duty on just 3 occasions at most during the season

We’d love to see lots of new faces this year.  What do you have to lose in trying it out for a couple of weeks?

If you’d like to participate, please jot your details down on the accompanying sheet, and we’ll get in touch with you with further information.

Cross Country Co-ordinator for 2006: Sarah Thiele -  9882 8181.

Calendar

Some clubs will have optional distances, e.g. to allow competitors to run over the Primary Schools distances in the lead up to schools competition.

Course maps are displayed on the day.  Competitors and parents can walk the courses (marked with flags, witches’ hats and signs) if they have enough time before their event.

Fees

CMLAC fees paid for the summer track and field season cover the cross-country season also.

Open Days require a small entry fee, either in advance via an entry form or on the day (but cut-off times before events apply, so leave plenty of time). Medals are given to individual and teams (of three) placegetters on Open Days. It’s great for the children if we can muster the numbers for some teams.

Non-club members can become members for the cross-country season only for a fee of $40 – see us if this applies to you. And why not bring some friends along? Kew’s Bring a Friend Day is a good opportunity.  To compete on any other day, non-members must first pay the $40 membership fee.

Uniform

CMLAC uniform is club singlet and red shorts. Athletes must compete in the club uniform. Singlets and shorts can be purchased from us.
